Briwax Original Liming Wax

£16.80 Sale price

Regular price £16.80

A smooth white tinted paste wax, formulated to produce a white grained finish in open grained timbers. Particularly effective on oak and similar timbers. It is most effective when applied directly onto the bare wood giving the deep white colouring, but for an even effect it can be applied onto stained and sealed surfaces. Some woods will benefit from opening the grain with a wire brush. Liming Wax can be overcoated with Clear Briwax for a more durable finish.

Can be applied directly onto bare wood. A more even appearance will however be obtained if the timber is sealed first.

Pack size: 220g

Drying time in good conditions is 15 minutes.

Compatible with all types of timbers. For best results and to prevent a blotchy appearance

timber should always be previously sealed with a varnish, oil or Briwax Shellac Sanding Sealer.

Long life if stored in a cool dry place

Flammable.

Keep out of reach of children.

Keep the container tightly closed.

Keep away from all sources of ignition - No smoking.

Coverage: 4-5 square metres.

Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from any previous finishes. Some woods will benefit

from opening the grain first with a wire brush. Stain or seal the timber prior to applying the wax. Work the Briwax Liming Wax into the wood and wipe over with a clean cloth to remove the

excess. Liming Wax can be over coated with Clear Briwax to give a more durable finish.

Apply at ideally 15 -25 degrees Celsius.

Hands and application cloth can be cleaned in warm soapy water.

One coat is usually sufficient but a second coat can be applied after 15 minutes.

Sold per item and delivered via a pallet network or courier. Delivery cost calculated at checkout. Available to collect in store as well.
