Quick Dry Briwax Hard Wax Oil gives a clear satin finish that is hard wearing, water and stain resistant that will dry to an attractive, durable, natural finish. Suitable for use on internal woodwork subject to a high degree of wear. Briwax Hard Wax Oil is easy to apply and maintain, leaving a wear, water and stain-resistant finish to woodwork.

Can be applied directly onto bare wood. A more even appearance will however be obtained if the timber is sealed first. 

Bare wood, hardboard, MDF, unsealed cork, concrete, stone, unsealed quarry and terracotta tiles.

Low odour. Non-yellowing on ageing. Quick-drying. Wash brushes in water. Generally, has very little effect on the colour of the timber it is applied to.

Compatible with all types of timbers. For best results and to prevent a blotchy appearance

timber should always be previously sealed with a varnish, oil or Briwax Shellac Sanding Sealer.

Long life if stored in a cool dry place. 

Keep out of reach of children.

In case of eye contact copiously wash eyes immediately with water and seek medical advice.

After skin contact wash immediately with soap and water.

Wear suitable protective clothing and gloves.

 

Coverage 20-30 square metres.

The surface must be clean, smooth, dry and free from wax, dust and contaminants. Read the full instructions on the tin. Nail holes and small cracks may be filled with Rustins Wood Fillers. Bare wood may be dyed before coating with Briwax Wood Dye. Other brands of dye, stain or paints may be incompatible. Do not apply Knotting or Sanding Sealer.

Using a lint free cloth, synthetic brush or varnish roller, apply evenly and liberally, finishing in the direction of the grain and wipe of the excess.

Apply 3 coats according to the coverage rate. More absorbent surfaces or commercial premises may require 4 coats. Important: If there is any grain raising after the 1st coat has dried, lightly sand the surface smooth before applying the next coat.

Apply at ideally 15 -25 degrees Celsius. Do not apply below 10.

Hands and application cloth can be cleaned in warm soapy water.

One coat is usually sufficient but a second coat can be applied.

Shake well before use.
