IRO External Timber Cladding - Charcoal

£34.60 Sale price

Regular price £34.60

Manufactured in Britain and inspired by the traditional Japanese method of Yakisugi, IRO architectural cladding is a unique range that’s designed to enhance all building exteriors. It can make any outdoor space either more modern or more traditional depending on the way it’s used and can add charm and character to a range of spaces.

IRO is crafted through an intricate and finely tuned seven-step process that combines an eye for detail with the latest timber technology. This encompasses state-of-the-art sawmilling and two stages of kiln drying, in addition to heat enhancement, brushing, high pressure treatment (for external products) and the application of a protective wood cream.

Coated in wood cream to enhance the product’s charred profile, IRO cladding boasts a smooth, glossy and colourful finish. The coloured wood cream also adds water-repellent properties, meaning that liquids will pearl off the product and help to maintain it.

Price displayed is per board.

  • Available in 10 exclusive colours to complement every environment
  • 100% natural timber grown in Britain
  • Kiln dried
  • Charred & brushed
  • High pressure treated
  • Coated in wood cream
  • Eco-Friendly
  • UV Stable
  • HVOC-Free
  • Water repellent
  • Low maintenance
    • IRO Cladding is installed like any traditional cladding.
    • The cladding needs an air flow behind and we recommend installing a batten system which allows ventilation. A well-ventilated structure will increase the durability by ensuring that timber remains at the correct moisture content.
    • A 5mm gap needs to be left between the boards because timber expands and contracts depending on the weather conditions.
    • If the end of any external IRO product is exposed it should be coated with the colour-matching touch-up cream. This seals the board again, ensuring it remains protected against the elements.

    Size: 3.6m x 145mm x 22mm

    Colour: Charcoal

    Species: UK Larch

    Profile: Square Edge

    • To maintain IRO it is essential that you apply the colour-matching touch-up cream, both to seal cut ends and to ensure the surface of the product remains water repellent and UV stable.
    • Available in all 10 core and extended colours. The 1L tins of touch-up cream cover approximately 30m2.
    • To apply the cream, simply wipe it onto the surface of any IRO cladding or decking product using a clean cloth and remember to wipe off any of the excess.
    • The cream itself is water-based, meaning it’s HVOC-free and will not flake off.
    • We recommend using a sponge and hose to keep IRO clean. Don’t used anything powerful like a power wash to clean IRO otherwise you’ll damage the product and remove the coating.
