Our Siberian Larch Battens are the perfect material for any fencing or cladding project if you are looking for a stable, durable and modern look. These boards have been planed all round and have a wonderfully distinctive colouring and grain.

Price displayed is per batten.

  • Siberian larch comes from the Larix Sibirica, a tree found in Western Russia close to the Finish-Russian border. Due to the cold climate of Russia where winters are long and summers pass quickly, it means that the timber is slow-growing which is what gives Siberian Larch its very dense and tight grain.
  • It looks great in interior spaces but is also a brilliant product for exteriors too. It's very popular for creating authentic wall cladding as well as being used for flooring, slatted fence panelling and furniture making.
  • Siberian Larch is one of the most naturally hardy of all softwood species and with having a high amount of resin it provides a fantastic natural resistance to rot and decay giving it its long lifespan.
  • The timber is a stunning pale yellow/golden brown colour, which once exposed to the elements turns into a beautiful silver grey finish if left untreated and unstained.
  • With this being a natural product, knots, markings and colour variation are expected, however this does not detract from the structural integrity of the timber and these natural characterises are not deemed as defects.
  • Machined to a lovely smooth planed finish. Some images may show various finishes that can be achieved.

    Species: Softwood
    Grade: Sawfalling
Usage: Panelling, Wall Cladding, Furniture, Doors, Flooring, Decking, Fence Panels, Interiors, Exteriors

This is a natural product so imperfections such as markings, colour variation, cracks and differences in size should be expected. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.

What To Do When Your Timber Arrives

    • This timber has been air dried, therefore we recommend that prior to use it is acclimatised to its new environment to help prevent problems such as movement, warping, swelling or shrinking.
    • Brush off any excess residue and sand down any rough patches or areas.
    • Decide on your desired finish! We believe that our timber is beautiful in a range of finishes and for preservation we would recommend applying either a wax or oil - Click to shop our range of Briwax and Osmo Oil.
