Our Reclaimed Cabin Boards are perfect if you are looking to add some timber with a unique character and history to your home, offering richness and warmth through its beautiful deep brown colouring.
Used originally to line the boxes of Mushroom crops, our Cabin Boards (Cypress Wood) are derived from wooden boards which are salvaged and can be repurposed into some truly unique products.
During the mushrooms growth cycle, the boards are exposed to acidity and water released from the compost. The enzymes break down the soft fibres in the wood to leave only the tough, durable wood behind and the erosion of the soft fibre raises the grain which results in the truly unique texture which can be seen on the wood.
Price displayed is per square metre.
- A sustainable choice for any home as this timber has been considerately sourced and is a reclaimed material originating from North America.
- Can be used both internally or externally due to its hardwood like properties. It is both decay and water-resistant as Cypress wood contains Cypressene oil which is a natural preservative resistant to decay and moisture.
- From rustic doors, custom furniture making and wall cladding, our Reclaimed Cabin Boards are the perfect option for any rustic home interior or exterior.
- Due to the reclaimed nature of the product it means that signs of previous use such as markings, colour variation and cracks are expected. This only adds to the character and uniqueness of the product and helps to keep its history alive.
